Martini Red is available for all types of private events, including weddings, parties, office functions, exhibit openings, and receptions. The lineup varies according to the requirements of the event, and can range from a two-piece to a seven-member band. Arrangements can be made for the band to travel for functions taking place outside the immediate Washington area.
In addition to regular
gigs at Felix, the Aroma Company, and Whitlow's on Wilson, Martini Red
has appeared at
Iota, Galaxy Hut, Polly's, Armand's, the Velvet Louge, the Rhodeside Grill,
Nora's,
the Dogfish Head (Rehoboth
Beach, DE), the Raw Bar (Frederick, MD), and Andy's (Chestertown, MD).
In 1999, we were nominated
for a Wammie for best
Traditional Jazz Group.
The band has been the
featured entertainment for a number of local
events, including the
11 O'Clock Show, the National Press Club,
and the California State
Society's Cherry Blossom Reception.
Martini Red has twice
served as the pit orchestra for the annual
WAMA ("Wammies") award
ceremony
